Bidzo Private Limited ("Bidzo", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website bidzo.co and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. Your name, email, phone number, and any content you submit through contact forms, newsletter opt-ins, document unlock requests or account registration.
Information collected automatically. IP address, device and browser type, referrer URL, pages visited, time-on-page and search queries. This is collected via cookies and standard web analytics (Google Analytics 4).
Payment information. When you pay for a document or subscription, our payment processor (Razorpay) collects card / UPI / net-banking details directly. We never see or store your full card number.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to (a) deliver the Platform and any documents or subscriptions you purchase, (b) send transactional emails (welcome, receipts, download links, password resets), (c) send the Bidzo weekly digest if you opt in, (d) improve our search, ranking and Bidzo Score, (e) prevent fraud and abuse, and (f) comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and preferences, and third-party cookies from analytics tools to understand aggregate usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may limit some functionality.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us operate — payment gateways (Razorpay), email delivery (Resend), object storage, AI providers (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) and hosting infrastructure. Each is bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or to protect our rights.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — typically the life of your account plus 3 years for regulatory and audit purposes. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, after which we retain only the record of your unsubscribe request.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you have the right to (a) access the personal data we hold about you, (b) request correction of inaccurate data, (c) request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements), (d) withdraw consent, and (e) file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India. 7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices — HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords (bcrypt), encrypted database backups, least-privilege access, and signed, single-use links for document downloads. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Children

The Platform is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside India. We ensure any such transfer is protected by contractual safeguards equivalent to Indian data protection standards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users.
